Custom Titanium Pioneer

Written by

Front ClosedIf you like custom Swiss Army Knives, especially the type that replaces the highly desireable ALOX for even mroe exciting Titanium, then you really will want to read on, especially since it includes information on how you can put this beautiful knife in your pocket!

Before we get to that, let me tell you a bit about this knife- it was made by our good friend Bob Lessard, one of the (if not THE) biggest name in custom Swiss Army Knife mods right now.

The knife itself is based on the Pioneer design, featuring main blade, awl, can opener and bottle opener, both with integrated screwdriver, but if you are a frequent reader of this site, then you are probably already very familiar with the Victorinox Pioneer!

This particular knife features Titanium handles, custom milled in house by Bob in a textured diamond pattern and then tumbled to provide an excellent gripping surface but as not to be too rough on the hands or the pocket that carries it.

Pocket Clip closedThat's important, because this cutsom knife also includes a lowrider style pocket clip that keeps the knife safe in your pocket, although just peeking up and ready for action!  Naturally the clip is removable should you not want it, but that is a choice that is entirely up to you.

Like the pocket clip, the knife itself is assembled using Bob's signature screw system, which allows the user to adjust the tension of the various components, or to disassemble it for cleaning it, should it get dirty!  It may look like a shelf queen, but this knife is ready for action.

Of course, we haven't even gotten to the best part yet- you see, this isn't just a fancy handled ALOX copy- no, this knife includes the toothpick and tweezers ordinarily reserved for Officer models with cellidor handle scales!

drawerHidden away inside the cusom milled handle scales is a small secret compartment that, when released slides out and reveals a small, drawer like area for keeping the extra tools- or anything else you want to try and fit into it!
