Ultimate Multitool Timeline

Written by

TimelineWith the current issues plaguing pretty well the entire planet right now, it seems like as good a time as any for a serious project here at Multitool.org.  With that in mind, we have decided to start up the Ultimate Multitool Timeline, which will be an amazing resource for anyone who wants to learn about Swiss Army Knives, Multitools, the companies that produce them, and any other related information.

We will use the information not just as an amazing reference, but to update both SAKWiki.com and The Multitool Encyclopedia. While many of our members have more info than others, it is my hope that everyone who has even a little piece of the puzzle can help contribute to the overall product.  Of course, this will never be a "finished" product, as there will always be new things to add to it, but there is at least a century of things to add and get this idea off the ground.

For those keeping track, that image above is a snippet from the Leatherman Timeline that started in our Leatherman Forum several years ago, and is serving as a starting point for this new project.

It's important that we get this done, because no one else is going to, and really, I don't believe there is another group anywhere in the world that could take on a project like this.

What's even better, is that we have such an amazing, vast and knowledgeable community, so even if you don't think you can contribute, it will be fascinating to watch it build!

As usual, if you have any questions, comments or thoughts, feel free to email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or bring it to the forum.
