Gerber Pocket Square

Written by

I am a member of various forums, knife sites and Facebook groups. I am part of the community not only because I am a knife knut but I like to see what's trending. I've seen many different blades take center stage, many of them budget blades. One blade that I see over and over again is the Gerber Pocket Square.

Gerber US Assist

Written by

I've been a blade junkie ever since my first pocket knife about 20 years ago. I didn't get into knives before that because I was a city boy and my dad never carried one. Since my first one I've been hooked, didn't know how I got along before I had one. Using your rudimentary claws and teeth are far less effective than a sharp blade. I'm always on the hunt to the perfect edc blade. I want something light, easy to deploy and holds an edge well.

Case Kinzua

Written by

Case knives have been a name synonymous with family, tradition and quality since 1889. They built their reputation on quality craftsmanship and are proudly made in their Bradford factory here in the USA. Living here in the southeastern United States the company has representation on almost every corner of these small towns and is the preferred carry by many a man worth his salt.

Case pretty much has the traditional knife market cornered but they hadn't ventured into anything moden and frankly didn't seem to care. Something changed and Case surprised us all with new offerings in 2021. The Kinzua is Case's take on a modern EDC folder and they didn't spare the high quality treatment either.

Utica Kutmaster Rescue Tools Review

Written by

Recently the knife and tool industry has been leaning more and more towards rescue oriented tools such as Benchmade's ERT-1/Houdini tools, the Victorinox Rescue Tool and more traditional offerings like NOV8's ResQMe tool.  Jumping on the bandwagon is traditional US knifemaker Utica/Kutmaster with their latest rescue tools.

Leatherman h502 Knife Review

Written by

Having done so many different things with their tool line, Leatherman decided a few years ago to get into pocket knives.  However, being Leatherman, they had to do it their own way, and look at knives with tools added, rather than their more typical method of making tools with knife blades on them.  The top dog in this particular line was the now discontinued h502.
